Attending University & Trade Schools

We get it. There are always misconceptions about attending university and trade school. With the shifting landscape of the workforce coupled with people learning skill sets that are relevant to the job market, there is no wrong path to take.

  • College is one of the many avenues one can take to become successful. While college is still the traditional route to take, there are other options such as trade schools or even pursuing an entrepreneurial lifestyle, that can also lead you down the path to success.

  • Don’t let your personal doubts or input from others steer you away from pursuing any form of financial assistance.

Financial aid is there to provide support and ensure that students are able to attend universities and trade schools at a lower cost.

In a study conducted by LendingTree in 2021 that surveyed 211 undergraduate college students who did not plan to fill out the FAFSA. 33% of students responded saying the primary reason was because they thought they wouldn’t qualify for any financial aid.

  • College isn’t for everyone. Some people may already know what they want to pursue and can attain it easier and more affordably through a trade school.

In today’s economy, we need machinists, electricians, plumbers, construct managers, IT support specialists, medical equipment repairer… you get the point! They all provide lucrative salaries and can lead to a great career.

We all come from different walks of life and carry different perspectives. Each of our personal journeys has allowed us to push past boundaries and challenges that not everyone around us experiences.

When it comes to education, the right choice is purely yours. Find something you are passionate about and give it your all. As William Ernest Henley said, “I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.”
